Ylva (or Ulf) is a non-binary and transgender artist who moved to Seattle from Chicago in 2015. They have been painting, drawing and dabbling in different mediums for most of their life. Learning to tattoo has been a great honor, as it allows them to connect with and help others reclaim and love their bodies, as getting tattooed has done for them.
They are fascinated and inspired by the sciences and the natural world, the void, the horrific, mysterious, mythical, bizarre, and uncanny valley.
When they are not drawing or tattooing, they enjoy long walks in Seattle's beautiful parks and rose gardens with their canine familiar, Spaghetti.
